Sexy, intense, and LOL-worthy!

The Outlaw Triplets.

These guys are fangirl-worthy and panty-drop sexy. Not only do they melt my heart and heat my insides, but they also crack me the hell up. When more than one of them is in a scene, it's a damn riot! The brotherly banter is side-splittingly funny and so freaking adorable and endearing. The dynamic between them is something I haven't seen in the New Adult Genre yet, and I love it. I love them. I have this bittersweet feeling about the series. Two triplets down, just one more to go. Oh man, I never want it to end. Dearest Zoe, Can we clone them? Yeah... let's do that! ;)

At the mention of New Adult, I have to say that I am right up there with the folks who feel the genre is getting insane and out of control. I love the genre, but with massive hoards of books coming out within it each week, that makes it all the more difficult to find a really amazing story. They all start to look the same. And let's be honest... a lot of them kind of are the same. This is why I feel I have to shout it from the rooftops that Zoe Dawson has created a standout set of books. It's not one big thing—it's a dozen smaller things that make up this whole of greatness. The characters are livelier, the romance deeper, the plot line more interesting, the laughs more abundant. Everything about this book screams more to me.

It's clear from the beginning that Verity has a secret. It's clear that she believes Boone ruined her life. You expect a secret, but you will never expect the entire truth. Just as with the first book, Zoe blindsided me with a revelation. She pretty much knocked me on my ass! There I am, all content in my cozy reading chair, and WHAMMO! Secret unveiled! Now I have to wake up my poor poor husband so I can shout at someone about how I am so floored and so OMG surprised. ;) I wouldn't want to tell one of my bookish friends and spoil it, afterall! But let me just say this: you are going to need to pick your jaw up off the floor after reading this one.

If anyone has read my review of A Perfect Mess, you'll know how much I enjoyed the sex scenes. One reason for that is the fact that it was from the male's POV. This is one of the unique points I was talking about. I can honestly say, I can't remember even one other book where this was the case. I don't know about you, but I feel it's much more sexy to read from the guy's point of view. I love how raw an straightforward it makes things. I love the masculinity. Now, there are plenty of sexy times to see from Verity's POV as well, but my overall point is that the sex scenes are FANTASTIC. They're also perfectly spaced out and not overly done.

The romance is fast-paced, but I can tell you it works in this book. It's not insta-love, but it's insta-connection. Attraction, plus some. Verity and Boone have a whirlwind of a relationship. They are intense together. They don't do things half-assed. I really appreciated both of their journeys into self-awareness and into redemption. They each had thins to overcome and while on their own, couldn't quite seem to make it happen. Together? Done.

Needless to say, I definitely recommend this book. It was even better than the first, and I am still thinking about it well after finishing it. The characters are so well developed and so easy to connect with and love. The romance is sexy and very much passionate and intense. The plot is well written and definitely deeper and better thought out than a lot of other NA books. The Louisiana parish is the perfect setting. It's got a beauty about it and I really enjoyed the southern feel and the personality that came with it.

Trust me, this is a book you want to read. I recommend it 100%! Start with A Perfect Mess, then read this one (although this book could be read as a standalone). Now, Ms. Dawson, please bring on Braxton's story!

Beautiful story with a touching secret!

I loved this book. Boone and Verity have to overcome a major obstacle in order to pursue a chance at love, only to have a monumental secret threaten to tear it all down. I love Zoe Dawson's writing style and her humor, and hello... Outlaw boys! What's not to love. Can't wait for the next book in this series.

I received a free kindle copy of Becoming a Greek God: Shredded Through Calisthenics and Street Workout by Andrew Creager in an Amazon promotion.

I gave this book four stars. He gives information to aid in success in exercising as well as improving your health. Something that impressed me was he strongly suggested getting a physical first & following your doctor's advice.

Another point of interest was focusing on the physical & mental benefits of exercise. It can help anxiety, depression & other mental illnesses. In addition you can lose weight, get in shape & have a healthier lifestyle.

If a person is new to working out, using weights is not necessary. Body weight alone is sufficient in the beginning.

Nutrition is an important part of becoming healthy when working out. Staying appropriately hydrated is important as well. Wait at least three hours after eating to work out.

Remember to stretch. After stretching, warm up. Also cool down by gentle stretching again.

Different body parts worked out on six days. Take one day to rest & heal.

This book is a comprensive primer on how to get fit & healthy.

I think this Calisthenics book has been very detailed in this discussions of the things one needs to know about it before actually starting on it. It has the needed precautions too. And another thing is that there are separate chapters that discussed lengthily each of the major muscle groups like the legs, the core, the chest, the back, the shoulders, the arms. And the promise to become a Modern Spartan, Greek God is also tempting. I think this book has been done for the health buffs out there to be equipped with the essential details about Calisthenics.

I have read somewhere that Calisthenics is a muscle building technique that allows you to work out anytime, anywhere, without using any equipment, while still achieving the same results as you would in a gym. So I bet, this exercise regime appeals to a lot of health and fitness buffs out there. Going to the gym is an ordeal for most people, so for them other alternatives are always welcome. This is where this book goes so perfect. It has discussed topics that all add to the wonders of Calisthenics. Topics like the importance of undergoing a physical check up before starting on it, the mental and physical perks, how to build strength and lean muscle, how to perform many of the exercises and for how long, information on supplements, info on the right nutrition you need to be taking in, and so much more. This book is a great grab, especially for couch potatoes out there!

Delicious selection of page-turners

An unbeatable combination: Excellent mystery stories with varied flavors all packed into one beautiful hardbound book. Wish it was Christmas! Men and Women authors are well represented, both male and female protagonists are featured. The collection features all my favorite crime genres: The slick thriller, the tranquil suburban shudder, the whodunnit as well as my favorite PIs. Here is detective fiction at its best, lovingly packaged and presented. Go forth and enjoy!

An Impressive Collection

Three-quarters of a century ago, Dorothy L. Sayers, the doyenne of mystery writers, assembled an anthology of work by her peers that provided an overview of the genre in 1928.

Now, Tony Hillerman and Rosemary Herbert have followed suit in providing a new anthology which seeks to do the same for mystery writing in the modern era.

Whether they have succeeded in providing a gathering equivalent to that of Miss Sayers may depend as much on personal taste of the reader as on the quality of the assembled works. That they have gathered an impressive collection of works by writers from the 1930s to the present goes without saying. The collection also illustrates the changes which have taken place in style, characterization and attitude.

The anthology begins with a gem of a story by Miss Sayers and concludes with a charming little piece written by Alexander McCall Smith especially for this volume. Hillerman, himself, is represented with two stories. There are tales by many familiar names and I was pleased to be introduced to a few writers new to me who will now be added to my reading list.

This is a volume worthy of any mystery-lover's bookshelf.

Like a gateway drug to crime fiction

Editors Tony Hillerman and Rosemary Herbert and Contributing Editors Sue Grafton and Jeffrey Deaver put together a new collection of crime fiction – the “new” is a tip of the hat out of respect for Dorothy L. Sayers, who had edited previous omnibuses and no slouch in the genre herself, with her Harriet Vane and Lord Peter Wimsey creations.

There is a little something for everyone here and the stories almost flow in chronological order of publication. I do think that you’ll see how tastes have changed – exposition versus dialog (note slang) – but the meat and potatoes of excellent storytelling are all here.

Fast note: I knew of Frederic Brown as a sci-fi writer, so I was surprised to see him here. The Elmore Leonard story was the late author’s favorite of his short stories. I liked all of them for different reasons, but Chandler’s “Red Wind” is a knockout. Hillerman points to the late James Crumley as a Chandler successor, with respect to use of language.

You can’t go wrong with this collection.
